Memory Foam

Contouring pressure relief, with or without an infusion.

Memory foam pillows, wedges and mattress toppers. The foam softens under your warmth and weight and contours around you; infusions such as gel, copper, charcoal, graphene and lavender change how it handles heat, odor and feel.

The Science

How memory foam works, and what infusions add

Memory foam is viscoelastic: it softens under body heat and load, shapes itself around you, then slowly recovers. That contouring is its strength, and it is also why plain foam can feel warm. Infusions are additives mixed into the foam to change how it deals with heat, moisture and odor.

1
Contouring The foam gives way under the shoulders, hips and the curve of the neck, spreading pressure over a wider area.
2
Heat is the trade-off Dense foam holds warmth, so airflow channels and conductive infusions are used to move heat away.
3
No infusion is active cooling Gel, copper and graphene spread or buffer heat. They do not refrigerate, and room temperature and bedding still matter.

The classic

Memory Foam

Plain viscoelastic foam, shaped into contour pillows, wedges and support cushions. It moulds to you under warmth and weight and recovers slowly when you move.

  • Contours closely to head, neck and joints
  • Slow, cushioned rebound
Best for
Neck pillows, wedges, knee and body pillows
Care
Do not machine wash the foam. Wash the removable cover and air the core.

Buffers early heat

Gel Infused

Cooling gel beads dispersed through the foam absorb and spread body heat early in the night. The gel eventually reaches the same temperature as you, so airflow and room temperature still matter.

  • Takes the edge off foam warmth
  • Same contouring feel
Best for
Mattress toppers for warm sleepers
Care
Spot clean only. Let a new topper expand for 48 to 72 hours.
Spreads heat

Copper Infused

Copper is one of the most thermally conductive common metals. Fine copper particles in the foam help move warmth away from where your body presses, especially when the foam is ventilated.

  • Less heat build-up under contact points
  • Works best with ventilated foam
Best for
Mattress toppers
Care
Spot clean only; do not soak. Allow up to 72 hours to expand.
For a fresher foam

Charcoal Infused

Activated charcoal is highly porous carbon. In foam, its pores adsorb odor-related molecules and help buffer humidity, so the topper feels fresher. It is not a detox product.

  • Odor control by adsorption
  • Helps buffer moisture
Best for
Thicker, dual-layer toppers
Care
Wash the removable cover on a gentle, low-heat cycle. Do not machine wash the foam.
Fast heat spreading

Graphene Infused

Graphene is an atom-thin carbon lattice that conducts heat extremely well. Dispersed in foam it helps spread warmth across a wider area, so a pillow builds up fewer hot spots. How well it works depends on the foam design and the cover.

  • Fewer hot spots on contact areas
  • Usually paired with a cool-feeling cover
Best for
Contour pillows
Care
Wash the cover only and air dry fully before reassembling.
A gentle scent

Lavender Infused

Memory foam with a subtle lavender scent, intended as a calming bedtime cue. The scent is light and softens over time. It is a comfort feature, not a treatment for sleep problems.

  • Subtle scent that fades gradually
  • Same pressure-relieving foam
Best for
Mattress toppers
Care
Spot clean with mild detergent and air dry. Allow 24 to 48 hours to expand.

Common Questions

What people ask about memory foam

Will an infused foam stay cold all night?
No. Gel, copper and graphene work as heat buffers and heat spreaders. They move early body heat away more efficiently than plain foam, but the surface eventually reaches temperature balance. Airflow, bedding and room temperature still matter.
Why does a new topper need time before use?
Toppers are shipped vacuum-compressed. The foam needs roughly 24 to 72 hours, depending on the product, lying flat in a ventilated room to recover its full height and shape.
Can I wash memory foam?
Do not machine wash or soak a foam core. Spot clean gently with mild detergent, let it air dry fully, and wash the removable cover if the product has one.
Who should choose a 2-inch topper?
A 2-inch topper suits a mattress that feels too firm or slightly uncomfortable but does not need replacing. It adds pressure relief while keeping the support of the mattress underneath.
What does CertiPUR-US mean?
Where a product carries it, CertiPUR-US certification means the polyurethane foam has been tested by independent accredited laboratories for content, emissions and durability.
